The nearest airport is the “Marco Polo Airport” in Venice (VCE), 20 kilometers (12 miles) east of Padua, conveniently linked with all major European airports. Avoid flying into Milan (MXP) unless you have a connecting flight to Venice. From Milan, you have a bus ride of about 1 hour after the customs in order to reach the railway station; and then a 2 or 3 hours ride by train to Padua.
